ADVERTISER UPGRADE PREP LIST
Post-upgrade checks
The ShareASale platform is now officially closed.
Great news - your program successfully upgraded to Awin and is already live!
We’ve already migrated your key settings to make the transition seamless, including:
- Account balance
- Creative assets
- Existing partnerships
- Tracking links
- Profile overview
To ensure everything continues to run smoothly, please complete the following post-upgrade checks:
01
Review your new account
Once your account is upgraded, review all settings carefully.
- Accepting Terms & Conditions: Review and accept Awin’s T&Cs. If you postponed acceptance, you can find the Awin T&Cs in your To Do list on the Dashboard (note: only program owners or admins can review and accept T&Cs).
- Set up two-step verification: Required for secure access to Pre-Payments Settings and the Account Balance page.
- Complete Program Terms: Complete your Awin program terms upon log in to ensure they clearly outline which publishers and activity are approved.
- Commission Manager: Review commission rates, attribution settings and rename Commission Group Names for clarity (note: the DEFAULT group cannot be changed).
- My Creatives and My Offers: Check transferred coupons, promotions, and banners.
- Product Feed FTP location: Update your FTP hosting location in the Awin platform to keep your product feed refreshing with the latest details. If you continue using the ShareASale FTP location, your products will still be visible to publishers on Awin, but the feed will no longer update (e.g., prices, sizes, stock levels) until you switch.
- Payment Settings: Confirm an active payment method, configure Auto-deposit or Manual deposit, and adjust deposit thresholds to avoid disruptions during peak periods.
- Account Users: Review user access and permissions and remove outdated users/agencies.
- Publisher Tags: Review publisher tags and groups.
- UTM Parameters: Your existing ShareASale UTM parameters would have carried over automatically. If you wish to update or modify, simply submit a support request.
02
Update to Awin eCommerce plugins
If you currently use ShareASale plugins (Shopify, WooCommerce, or Shoplazza), please update to Awin plugins before October 6, 2025.
- After this date, ShareASale plugins will be in maintenance-only mode. Tracking will continue, but updates & advanced features (such as Order Auto-Void) will no longer be available.
- Follow our step-by-step guide to update.
- Once complete, remove the old ShareASale plugin to avoid tracking conflicts and duplicate transactions.
03
Understanding Awin’s validations process
Validations give you the opportunity to review pending transactions and decide whether they are commissionable.
Within your auto-validation period, you can approve or decline pending transactions:
- Approved transactions: Commission is paid to the affiliate.
- Declined transactions: Invalid or non-commissionable such as cancelled or returned orders.
If no action is taken, all pending transactions will auto-approve once the validation period ends. To avoid paying commission on unwanted transactions, make sure to review and decline them before this deadline.

Set up required APIs
Review and integrate any APIs you use with the help of the Awin Developer Center.
Note: If you use API calls on ShareASale for data like transactions and reports, you’ll need to set them up on your new account.
