Rules and Guidance

Failure to comply with one or more of the below rules or guidance can result in actions and sanctions being taken against the Subnetwork’s account

  1. Subnetwork publishers must use the Publisher Profile Page to clearly disclose that they operate as a Subnetwork.
  2. Subnetworks will be solely held responsible for the promotional actions or omissions of their Subpublishers, as if those actions or omissions were their own. Any violation of any of the rules of the Code of Conduct or Publisher Terms committed by a Subpublisher shall be treated as a violation committed by the corresponding Subnetwork.
  3. Subnetwork quality teams must provide their compliance and fraud mitigation processes to Awin to be reviewed periodically and recommendations to be provided. They must provide a direct point of contact for compliance issues and be open and cooperative to all communication from Awin or Advertisers.
  4. Subnetworks must use the Click Reference Parameter (clickref) of their tracking links to identify the Subpublisher responsible for a sale/lead.
  5. Subnetworks must use the URL field to inform Awin of the last referrer Subpublisher URL that drove the sale/lead.
  6. Awin will have absolute discretion over any Subpublisher promoting Advertisers via a Subnetwork and reserves the right to suspend or block individual Subpublishers from promoting Awin’s Advertisers. Awin will monthly provide the Subnetwork with the updated list of previously banned URLs from the Awin Network. The Publisher must ensure these URLs do not have the ability to promote Awin Advertisers via their Subnetwork.
  7. No Subnetworks are allowed to work as Subpublishers of your Subnetwork.
  8. Subnetwork publishers are required to acknowledge receipt of a violation notice within 24 hours and to provide the required information and resolution within 48 hours, unless agreed otherwise with Awin.

Violations and Sanctions

Soft Click Status Requirement

  1. If non-compliant activity is identified, the Subnetwork Publisher is immediately placed on soft click status as a first sanctioning step. This status applies to all associated Subpublishers. While on soft click status, commission is awarded only under specific conditions. These are outlined in detail in Awin’s Soft Click Policy.
  2. Soft click status may be removed once the Subnetwork Publisher can demonstrate full compliance with Awin’s terms and conditions. The requirements for removal of Soft Click status are outlined in Awin’s Soft Click Policy.

Escalation and Imposing Sanctions

If the issue remains unresolved, Awin reserves the right to escalate the case and impose sanctions. This may include soft click status, non-payable status, and suspension or termination of the account.
